SADDO
How do you describe the art of a man whose work ranges from flamboyant to marvelous, to colorfully vibrant with a hint of hidden significance in the figures, curves, lines and shadows? You actually then do not try to describe it at all but take it all instead. Meet Saddo, a street artist originally from Romania who currently resides in Berlin. Honest, with an almost earthly pathos, he speaks to us about himself, his inspirations, his hopes and his art as an expression of himself.

Can you tell me which of your pieces are an example of this “more free” art?
The Zombies of Berlin. I’m not very fond of that series anymore. I thought it was a nice idea, but I got sick of that too. I had a Zombie phase. I don’t know exactly why, probably ‘cause zombies are cool to draw. And then I decided to dress them like hipsters you see on the streets of Berlin. All those guys are so careful about their style, and clothes. They want to look very original but end up looking all the same. So yeah, I started drawing them as zombies.
