Our wonderful friend, cover artist, featured artist and essential part of LAVA Collective Ashes57 has compiled a selection of her favorite photo portraits, featuring luminaries from the worlds of hip hop and dubstep. Highlights from the show include shots of Public Enemy, Rza, Ghostface Killah, Madlib, Loefah, Mala, Coki, Skream, Joker, Silkie, Oneman, Benga and more. All the portraits will be available for purchase, priced from £20 – £200. The super talented LA-based artist, DJ, producer, and just a cool dude Kutmah needs our help. As you might have already heard, on Wednesday, May 5th, he was detained by INS: “armed agents busted into Kutmah’s house and detained him. He was brought to a facility in downtown LA where he was interrogated. [...] he was moved to New Mexico. His case will come up against the prosecutor very soon and he may face deportation.”

British graffiti artist Banksy, has the city of San Francisco buzzing this morning as reports and sightings of his artwork are popping up throughout the city. We don’t know if these works are genuine Banksy pieces or that of a copycat, but rumor has it Banksy is in town for the premier of his new documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop.
