This week’s podcast by Duffstep has gotten a lot of love and attention! Today we wanted to share with you another side of Duffstep artistry – live audio + visual performance. Truly captivating images and sound are merged into one sonic and visual experience. We’d love to have actually been there, but an insight into the minds behind the project will do for now.
Shout outs to the lads at Join The Dots and Rebel Overlay.
Duffstep a lad who has been playing over the last 6 months alongside the likes of Flying Lotus, Martyn, Kode 9 and King Midas Sound will be collaborating with Rebel Overlay, one of the UK’s highest flying VJs. They have put together what can only be described as a visual-sound clash of almighty proportions. Imagine sternum crushing beats accompanied by one off bespoke visuals, really big, really loud and very, very special indeed.

On the first day of Fall, Duffstep is bringing us back to the deep, the spacey, the atmospheric, and the groovy. Don’t be confused by the name, Duffstep is not trying to make up yet another new sub-genre, he is simply getting to the very soul of the rave sound. And trust us, he has done it more than once in the mix. This one is for the head. Lights down, sub up, and space out…

1 CommentFLYING LOTUS TO HEADLINE DECIBEL FESTIVAL
Decibel Festival crew has just announced the complete program for the festival (which will take place in Seattle the week of September 22nd) with the biggest addition to the already-yummy lineup – none other than Flying Lotus, who will be performing Thursday night as part of the FlyLo and Friends Showcase, which also features West Coast luminaries Eskmo, Lorn, Samiyam and Seattle’s own Truckasauras.
Other major announcements include the expanded dB in the Park events with Mary Anne Hobbs, Plastician and more, and the 2010 dB Conference with showcases from Serato, Ableton and more.
The final program includes a free three day conference, 27 showcases across 11 different venues and over 100 artists representing 15 countries. We’re proud to be on the dB festival team and can’t wait to top the good times we’ve had in Sea-town last year.
